The Shadow of Mictlan Obsidian Skeleton Key Boss

In the caverns under Xol Akmul, an old enemy has been waiting. After his defeat at the hands of the Pirate, Ch’ok Ak’ab went into hiding in the deeps, and what he discovered was terrifying. Ages ago, Aztecosaur heretics founded the Kingdom of Mictlan under what is now Skull Island. While the Dark Kingdom has long since faded into the shadows of history, Ch’ok Ak’ab has learned the terrible spells graven on its ancient walls. Enhanced by this new power, Ch'ok Ak’ab awaits the Pirate's challenge! Can you figure out how to take down Ch’ok Ak'ab once and for all?

New Companion: Mictlantecuhtli

An ancient buccaneer warrior of Mictlan- this mummy shed his mortal coil long ago. Now awakened by Ch’ok Ak’ab’s exploitation of Mictlan’s dark spells, he is ready to join any Pirate crew willing to help take down the desecrator of his lost homeland. While his interrupted eternal slumber has robbed him of his warrior’s physique- it has done little to dampen this warrior’s pride!

• This Musketeer plays particularly well with Buccaneer captains- able to buff with either strength or agility.
• Sporting high defenses, a charge and the ability to curse opponents- Mictlantecuhtli brings the hurt and won't hesitate to put your enemies in the dirt.

Companion Rework: Shiruku Neko

The Silk One is back and better than ever. Shiruku Neko has been enhanced and is stronger, faster, and deadlier. Able to face her past as the Blade of Hamakala while renewing herself with the teachings of Master Brach- Shiruku Neko is a versatile force to be reckoned with.

Bug Fixes

Companions

• Donkey Hotay now has the intended number of epics
• Donkey Hotay can now train the correct version of Follow Through
• Mustang Sally’s Shared Bond’s weapon power can no longer stack with other hide weapon power boosts

Sinbad Part 1-3

• Blue Herring Mastermind’s battle now has combat music

Tartarus

• Players can now teleport to each other in Tartarus
• End of Combat Dialogue will now correctly make players no-aggro

Zigzag

• Players can now teleport to friends and change realms
• Fixed an issue where players would sometimes join other players instances in the Command Tent and the Armada Ship

Trianon

• Players can now teleport to friends and change realms

Krampus

• Players are no longer half buried when transformed into presents
• Quest Helper now properly shows in Krampus’ zones

Quests

• Fixed introduction dialogue for El Toro’s promotion quest to overhead dialogue
• El Toro now uses the correct sound stinger in his promotion quest
• Ashes of the Armada companion promotion quests now have the correct title
• Fixed a spelling error in Iko Jan’s dialogue

Miscellaneous

• Several tutorial tips now have their correct names
• Axwar doodle map icon no longer covers the Satyr Grove’s name
• Additions to the chat blacklist
• Flooded Shrine sigil is now in the correct position
• Old Scratch’s Mojo Flow spell line now has the corrected icons
