Rogue's Gallery: Fin Dorsal

During your early travels in Skull Island, you have a lot of run-ins with a very troublesome Cutthroat named Fin Dorsal, but players have also had deeper questions about him and his rise to power in Skull Island. Let’s take a closer look!

“Welcome to the Pirate101 Rogue’s Gallery. Subject, Fin Dorsal

One of the most feared Cutthroats in Skull Island, Fin Dorsal rose to infamy as a legendary enforcer for the shark clans, but later set his sights on bigger prizes. Fin hired on with a Marleybonean Privateer, sailing throughout the Spiral, capturing Polarian trade ships during the Polarian wars. The Shark quickly earned a reputation for being bloodthirsty and brutal, if a bit unlucky. When the war ended, Fin brought his new-found skills to bear as a pirate in his old home of Skull Island.

Fin quickly clawed (and often, bit) his way to the top of the Skull Island food chain, taking over leadership of Bert Finney’s band of Cutthroats. When Captain Avery arrived in Skull Island it made perfect sense for him to ally himself with Fin, the strongest Cutthroat in the region... but he may have been too trusting. Fin’s appetite for power is rarely satiated and he’s always on the lookout for the next person he can put the bite on.

These pirates and more await you when you play for free at Pirate101.com.”

Vadima’s Visions: Helpful Companions!

My all-knowing crystal ball revealed how the young Pirates are directing their crew. Pet Wranglin’ is the most popular order given to your hard working ship mates across all levels. Sailin’ to gain some much needed nautical experience and Plunderin’ for gold become more popular as a Pirate gains levels of knowledge. Putting your crew thru the hard knocks school of Brawlin’ helps keep them on par with your own increasing Pirate abilities. Scavengin’ for loot and Keel Haulin’ to gain training for other crew members are not a priority for Pirates at any level. One thing is for sure, Pirates are doing a great job managing their crew and keeping them tasked with new Orders. Companions are definitely earning their keep these days.

The misty fog clouds my vision again, until next time young ruffians…

The Crown Shop was awesome in July! We introduced the new Stormtiger Shark Pet and a bunch of new Marleybone-themed furniture for all Pirates to enjoy. We hope you’ve been happily hatching your Stormtigers and decorating a room or two in a fabulous Marleybone style.
