cosmos reference btw

what if erika the red was like hooked up with this other grizzly bear dude and they had a polar bear kid, and named him valgard? suppose the dad's name is bjorn, so the kid's full name is valgard bjornson when we meet him. any dad name would work though. bjorn is kind of a cliche now.and suppose valgard, during his time with us, earns the name goldenblade? the golden blade that earned his title would be a gift from erika that she got in el dorado. anyway, valgard goldenblade, the king of grizzleheim in w101.

the plot here is that we visit grizzleheim to look for erika the red, and we do find her, but first we find valgard bjornson and join him on a quest. most of grizzleheim is in chaos, grendels murdering people and everything. valgard's quest is to explore other worlds, but he's the hero dude that grizzleheim needs. as you can see he's now becoming a mix of leif erikson/beowulf/king dude. i guess you could say he's the less arrogant hawkules of grizzleheim

we meet him at the end of our first dungeon in grizzleheim. he fights us. we talk for a little, say goodbye, and continue exploring the world. we go around asking about erika the red, we see some villages being destroyed by grendels. someone asks us to bring valgard bjornson to help his village. we find him again and bring him back, also asking about the golden blade he has. he says it's a gift from erika, so we find out. unfortunately we can't go look for erika and her map piece because we have villages to save. we and valgard save people all over grizzleheim, and he gets his nickname of goldenblade. we eventually decide that we've done enough hero stuff, so he takes us to erika. valgard's been gone a long time; his dad died, and erika buried the map piece in his tomb. we don't want to be disrespectful so we secretly take the map piece and swap it with a counterfeit in case someone looks for it. we're like "yeah we didn't take the piece. quest over." erika does know we took it, understanding that we're pirates on a quest. she just silently judges us without telling.
