In the new. Xol Akmul area, the first person you meet says the Aztecasaurs in Xol Amul fled Azteca to avoid the Shadow Queen. If I am not mistaken, this queen is Morganthe. Later in P101, you find out in a puppet show that the emperor of MooShu is sick from a necromancer's spell. This is obviously Maliastare.

However, in W101, you cure the Emperor and beat Maliastare, THEN awaken Morganthe and go to Azteca. The Aztecasaurs couldn't have fled from Morganthe before the Emperor was cured. Did anybody else notice this?

Uh... I take it you mean Lamac Chol from Xol Akmul. He's had a very rough time trusting humans after Morganthe attacked Azteca, and on the time the Shadow Comet, Xibalba, was roaming to the Spiral before she grabbed it, brought it to Azteca, and it was stuck in it's skies & she went to Celestia to covet it's Astral powers & secrets to the Song of Creation. You know that we don't "awaken" Morganthe after we defeat Malistaire in Wizard101's DrgaonSpyre. I think the true answer is this...

Spanning between the numerous events of the games' timelines, Morganthe and much of her numerous Shadow Umbra legion troops were trapped in Celestia for centuries after one of the legendary Storm Titans had sealed it's Spiral Portal that made the war in that world a standstill for centuries until the Grand Celestial Expedition of Marleybone's Spiral Geographic Society rediscovered Celestia without using it's Spiral Key, that expedition of which was led by Halston Balestrom's partner, Thurston Plunkett, and the many Marleybonians involved in it. When that happened, she and her legion was resurfaced and attacked the Expedition, many of which tried to fight back, but were overwhelmed, so they sent a distress call to the Wizards to Wizard City for help, but they wrote it in Celestian Language, and they had to decode it for them to understand the message.

Before that happened, Wizards did travel to MooShu to aid their ailing Emperor after Malistaire struck his mind, body, and spirit with his Necromancer Magic that formed the War, Death, Pleague, and Jade monsters that plagued the Imperial center of MooShu before they get to Dragonspyre to stop Malistaire. With that happening, other Skyways of MooShu were plagued with evil warlords, vile monstrous beasts, & many numerous raiders pillaging innocent lives from defensless villages for money & beyond, such of which the Wizards cannot tend to there.

While the Emperor was ill, us Pirates were busy with stopping the Armada from getting all 7 pieces of Marco Pollo's El Dorado Map hidden through the Spiral's worlds before going to MooShu for the Piece and the Map's translation, along with stopping the threats that are plaguing MooShu's Skyways. And I'm sure there are others besides Wizards & Pirates that can tend to more of MooShu's threats. Who knows?

The Aztecosaurs had travelled to Skull Island to establish Xol Akmul to seek shelter before the Great Cataclysm can happen in Azteca, and reform their colony there a long time ago, but when that happened, a short time after they returned there, via the Plaza's Portal, one of the Ancient Ones that were buried there had been awakened by the dark shadows, twisting it's spirit to evil, and drove much of their kind to madness. When Pirates got to Xol Akmul, they were looking for gold to give Zadok to, but they had to tend to their problems before they can get the gold they were looking for.

Whew! This helps you with your chronological error? Hope this does.

The Lords of Night have always had a prophecy of Xibalba, the coming Shadow and the Azuring Shining One to battle the Shadow (even before Malistaire).

Since it was prophesized that the Lords of Night would witness the final battle between Light and Shadow, it could be assumed that they knew they would be captured and by who (Morganthe).

This is probably what led Itzan Halach to lead his people to Skull Island. Key words from Oxlahun Zotz is that Xul Akmol "ancestors built this place long ago and entombed themselves." This likely happened well before the events of Malistaire.
