Pirate101 Producer's Letters

Ahoy!

Ahoy me bold Buccaneers and sneaky Swashbucklers, avast ye!

Anyone sailing through The Spiral this Holiday season? Anyone collectin' Loot to stuff ye stockins' with, any adventurin' and Piratin' goin on?

It's been a little over 2 months since we christened the Pirate101 ship for Launch, and on behalf of our entire development Team here at KingsIsle, I want to thank everyone for their enthusiasm and feedback in this initial chapter of our Pirate101 Community. We are absolutely thrilled to see so many Players taking to the skies, blasting away at all manner of Mobs and mischievous sky varmints, and hitting the battleboards with your crafty Companions and scrappy Pets in tow. What's your favorite Class? Who's your favorite Companion? I still can't decide (I lied - it's Swashbuckler and Kan Po), and I hope you're having an awesome time picking out your favorites.

On that note, your feedback has been fantastic and very helpful to our KI Crew as we continue to make refinements. A pirate's work is never done, and rest assured we receive and consider every last suggestion delivered on our official forums. For who better to know what makes a Pirate adventure as fun and challenging as can be than you, the very Pirates of the Spiral - YAAAAR! ( I can't hear you? Say it with me now: "YAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRR!" That's the way! Get your back into it me Hardys!!!)

Looking ahead, 2013 is going to offer a veritable treasure trove of all-new Pirate adventures and we can't wait to unveil new Worlds, Quests, Gameplay features, Ships, Equipment and the wide-variety of Companions and fantastic Combat Attacks now in the works. We feel so fortunate to have the continuing opportunity to create and enjoy this Pirate universe together for many moons to come, and something tells me we'll see a few more twists and turns (that's why it's called "The Spiral") before getting a hold of all 7 map pieces en route to "El Dorado". Where might they turn up next? Haaaaaard to say, (ok, my throat hurts a little now), but know that we've got a lot of improvements and cool ideas headed your way, so stay tuned for Update Notes, watch out for the Armada, remember - no Yum before bed, keep your pirate flags hoisted high and thank you again for making the Spiral a magical place for all of us to make new friends and have a lot of fun.
