Treasure Island and Blind Mew

I'm reading the book Treasure Island, and I've gotten to the part where the Captain has just died () and the "blind beggar" becomes a real threat. I like literally LOL-ed when I learned that the beggar's name is Pew! After that Pew totally transformed into a cat with shades and a walking stick.

But-

SPOILER ALERT

Pew gets trampled on a bunch of horses and dies.

I'm looking forward to see what else Treasure Island has in store for me.
