Origin of the Life Fountains?

Those mysterious life fountains. The appear to be old and have and endless supply of the water that heals but where did they come from?

As far as I can tell, there is no Arcana regarding them, so, I made one up:

The Life Fountains have been around for as long as inhabitants of the Spiral can tell.

Some say they were created by the ancient Aztecasaurs, but others point to differences in style that seem to indicate that the Aztecasaurs got their artistic style from the Life Fountains rather than the other way around.

Others claim they were the creation of the Storm Giants, but when even they are the subject of speculation as to whether they even existed, this seems doubtful.

All we know is they appear to be everywhere, in every corner of the spiral, and civilizations have sprung up around them.

It was discovered a long time previously, that there appears to be no real base to them, and they can be moved if absolutely necessary. Their weight and fragility, however, made this practice one that was taken onl only occasionally. Many are the Life Fountains that no longer work when they were damaged during such moves. Today you can find them on docks, occasionally, But it was more common to break off the island they were on and move that to the dock area instead. As is typical of Marleybone "Try Anything Once" methods, they occasionally tried mounting one on a ship that would be at sea for months on end. This practice was abandoned when such ships were lost in battle along with their precious Life Fountain.

Today, most of them are simply left where they were found, so as to preserve their healing abilities, and civilizations were moved instead.

They are from Krokotopia designed by the ancient Pharaohs and contain the water of life from the primordial sea.

But I love the lore you give about them.It's interesting to imagine that life fountains could be moved,even mounted,but as of now,they are ancient and forgotten relics of ancient tmes in the First World,more ancient than the Aztecasaurs,more ancient than the Titans maybe.And no one kept written records nor remembers them all too well.
