More Power Quests?

Hello, fellow, pirates! Take a seat along my Aquilan Galleon. Don't mind the fact that it has an 80% chance of completely burning up if the wind is hard enough. While we're on the subject, wanna talk about how some ships aren't very reliable? Right, Avery?

Anyway.......Is it only me, or does anyone else think there are way too little power quests? I never really liked getting the powerful spells handed to me for free. And I love working for each little power, for in Wizard101 the spell you're working for is always a mystery. Plus it would make things a bit more interesting for players who hate questing but love PvP.

Cheers!

What do you mean by "power quests"? I don't get it.

Wait, wouldn't that make it better for those of us that don't Pvp but love questing?
To have more, cool quests to get my powers would be wonderful for me. To have to work out puzzles and figure out a new boss to actually 'earn' the awesome things I can do? Count me IN

Hello, Thunderchu9801, with all due respect I think I will stay in the row boat beside your Galleon (not too close though)- there is a bit of a breeze and it seems to be picking up.

I like your idea even though for me personally, I would much rather quest than engage in PvP- only because I enjoy the creativeness that KI has put into the dialogue and the storyline.

That being said, I too would rather enjoy having to do some quests to gain some new awesome powers). Although I guess in a sense that is what we do anyways, complete some quests, gain a couple levels and receive some new powers from our trainers. But this still doesn't have the same feel as a specific quest or set of quests leading to some new great power. This would be much more exciting to, like you stated, feel like you earned the power by doing a quest directly related to gaining that specific power.

Nice idea, I like it- I like it a lot!

I don't know about power quests, but I do miss the hidden trainers that W101 has. Especially ones like the Lorekeeper and Yan Kan Kook who you can get new spells from. Hard to believe that Avery has cornered the market on class specialists throughout the spire.

In fact, I'd be willing to venture that class trainers eslewhere would have the really good stuff. Ancient Lands like MooShu and Aquila would have techniques from days long past that legendary pirates would have passed down through generations of pirates. Every world has a thriving criminal underworld as well, so there has to be black market trainers who would sell new powers... for a hefty price. The underground in Marleybone, the Yakooza in MooShu, Frogfather in Jonahtown, pretty much everywhere in Cool Ranch - hard to believe all those criminals haven't figured out some shady techniques of their own. The library in Valencia is sure to have some ancient tome with a technique or three for the tireless reader to find. That's not even taking into account Marco Pollo, your parents, the Toymaker or even Avery. Somebody's not sharing the wealth!
