I just wanted to thank you for the letter I got from you today. I wrote a little poem about it that I think is humorous and I hope yall get a chuckle out of it.
Come me matey’s and listen well… For I’ve a Pirate’s tale to tell!!! Of pirate’s gold and ship’s that sail It’ll shiver your timber’s and turn ye pale!!! I’ll charge ye no treasure – my story’s free… Now join me ‘neath the YUM YUM tree!!! A tougher pirate you’ll never follow… Who be the like of Marco Pollo!!! Swift of sword and sure with shot… A dozen men could beat him not! Along the skyways in days of old… He’d help himself to all men’s gold! A sneer and a laugh he’d snort with pleasure.. Then sail off briskly with their treasure. Now Marco’s gone these many days… I wonder where his treasure lays! Today a map has come my way… From a distant kingdom ‘KingsIsle’ it say! Mysterious this map it be…. for hints and codes are what I see. And journal entries in Marco’s hand… Point to some secret spiral land!! With promises of treasure great… It bades me not to hesitate!!! But warns that if I’m slow or wonder… The map will soon be torn asunder!!! And scattered where I do not know… So drink your YUM! I’ve got to go!!! What this map sez will tell the tale I promise you I will not fail. It might be gold or crowns I get Might even be a brand new pet. Now mates don’t be offended… One day I’ll tell you how this ended!!! Adam West, Privateer (The Red Hunter) P101
