It appears that the Select a Ship drop down menu is in alphabetical order (not counting "The"), which is not a problem, if you only have a few ships, but since it says we can have up to 80 ships it would make more sense to have the ships in purchase/received order with the newest one on the top and the oldest (our little raft) at the bottom.
