Loosing Connection

I am wondering if there is an issue with server capacity. I constantly loose connection to this game - 9 times out of 10 when it comes to collecting the treasure (clicking x) after a battle and sometimes during battle.

I used to build and fix computers and networks so I am very proficient in knowing what to close down/tests to run etc.
My connection to the net is not lost when I loose connection to Pirates.
My WAN network is fine - no issues anywhere else.
Checked firewall, disabled firewall, took graphic settings right down, removed hardware cursor, removed helper etc and nothing helps. When I go to the server change, they are greyed out.

Doing a Google search suggests I am not the only one with this issue. Please can you look into this as I have lost quite a bit of gold and quest time. Given that I have spent money on the game, it is now frustrating me why this is happening. For the first week, things where fine, now the game is almost unplayable, especially the last two days.

Just reporting that things are a whole lot better, I guess you must have patched some code as gameplay is now once more enjoyable, thank you!

Glad the issue was cleared up for you. I'm not sure what might have changed between the time of these two posts, but I'm glad you're up and running.

Thank You Jack :) I have to report the problem has been occurring again since yesterday and is worse than previous.

I have added the ports, (pnp is enabled anyway so this should not matter) I have even gone as far as adding my system to DMZ and still no luck.

I know it is not my internet as everything else works fine that I do on the net.

Message from log mainly seems to be:
12/01/12 02:51:41 [STAT] PC PirateClient.cpp 1351 [0] Client is now connected to server
12/01/12 02:51:41 [DBGM] GameClient GameClient.cpp 3360 [0] AppCloseConnection() called, connection state is 7
12/01/12 02:51:41 [DBGM] CORE_SEER GameClient.cpp 3464 [0] GameClient closed application connection with state 0.

I am having the same problems kyomii had three years ago. When I try to pick up the treasure chests I lose connection. It will sometimes re-connect again and I'm in the middle of another battle. At times it makes game the game unplayable and very frustrating.

I've been having connection issues for weeks. I'm sometimes not able to interact with chests after battles, dock on islands, board my ship, or enter instances. The "click x" option never shows up. This even happens when interacting with NPCs. It's especially frustrating in quests where you have to enter an instance, defeat a group of mobs, and when you are done, the NPC that you have to speak to is unresponsive. The only fix for me is to exit the game and log back in.

I contacted support and they assumed that my internet connection or modem/router was the issue. I'm pretty sure it's not my internet connection or router seeing as how I play other online games pretty actively. Pirate101 seems to be the only game I have issues with.

I'm with you karta78, all my other online games run fine but I have a lot of problems with Pirate 101. I'm having the exact same issues.

I get the "click x" issue too on chests and on NPCs.

As I used to build systems and networks and code, I know for a fact this is not my network and is a gaming issue. I am wondering if the server or one of the servers has issue (perhaps a corrupt db) and when people are on that server they experience these issues. It could be server capacity, too many connections open and due to script weakness people are thrown off.

This is without any doubt, an issue with the game.
