Can't stich Dragon Axe of Doom with Dragoon Sword

They are both Smashey/Slashy, so why can't I stich them?

The Dragon Axe of Doom is a non-stitch weapon, sorry. I really wish KI would place a 'no stitch' symbol or the words "no stitch" on these items so we won't be confused.
