.. don't they?

Stand at attention, pirates! At ease.

Okay, that's the last time I'm saying that. It sounds much too forceful or commanding.

Umm, okay how about.. howdy!

No, I'm already Southern enough.

Okay, how about just hello? Yeah, that works.

Hello! Cruel Owen Quarrel here! I'm happy to say that I'm still doing pretty well in school, but I wanted to know:
what would you do with the money you get from your deal with Avery? I mean, you're splitting half of a massive city made out of gold. Avery obviously wants the gold for some scheme to turn Skull Island into a Pirate Republic. It's not like it's for some sort of ulterior motive, right? Right..?

Um.. *ahem* but, yeah. It could be material (actually in the game) or something you think your character would do, or even one of yer companions! Would ye use the money to fuel yer new adventures? Would ye use the money to expand your crew and hire the Spiral's best mercenaries to fight by yer side? Would ye use the money to secure retirement for ye and yer crew?
...
Pah! So early in yer piratin' career?! Let's be real here! They'll always be places that need explorin', booty that needs plunderin', people that need liberatin', governments that need overthrowin'! No matter what the Armada says, people will always need pirates!

I'm looking forward to hearing what ye'd spend yer hard-earned gold on

Hope you have a fantastic week!

I'll probably be giving a huge chunk of it to Avery ( excuse me, Gov. Avery ) for back taxes, rent and any other hidden expenses from our accord ( I forgot to read the fine print ) What's left over ( Hah! ) will go to the crew, maybe Miracle Mitch can re-grow Ratbeard's missing limbs and eye.
Or, just maybe, the island will explode and none of us will get the gold.

I'd probably use the gold for me and my crew, get a lot of upgrades, and fancy ship with awesome power, and maybe give some to the poor.

Ok this is going to sound super girly but I would get a pink castle with a army of dear knights and it would have a dress and cake and cookie maker in it and at the very top I would have a glitter cannon that would blast the armada to Timbuktu also a flying unicorn good day

If I had that much gold, I would hire Frankie Blue Eyes to sing wherever I went, and, because Marleybone is probably in a dire position and they need quick money to fund the war, I would buy a Marleybonian colony, probably Krokotopia or Rajah.

I'm not sure, but I guess I have a few ideas...

Maybe I will throw a massive Treasure Bath party - and everyone who attends will be able to take home some gold and wear matching golden togas!

Or, I'll stick it to Avery and use it to make my own Pirate Republic. I will even make a castle so regal that it will put even Aquila to shame.

Or, I'll just stick it to Avery and do whatever I feel like with it.

Aye, with that much gold, I'd upgrade my ship to be scary strong(See? It's a play on words because I have a Haunte- ah forget it). Cannons that fire flaming pumpkins and hatches for spiders to crawl out and start infesting the enemy ship. The entire spiral will fear me. To be honest, once I had the entire map, I'd take all the gold for myself and say the island blew up so I could begin amassing my army by building fortresses in Avernus. Nobody would ever expect it. Also, since I'll be so close to Monquista, I could pillage all that I wanted from those silly little monkeys. If I had money left over, I'd make sure my crew looked fabulous. That's important to the image. It'd be silly to have pirates without nice coats and golden peg legs now wouldn't it? I'd probably allow for Yum to be stored in Ratbeard's new peg leg.

Good question.

Well, I know Avery's gonna try to cheat us somehow. I'll probably pull an Ocean's Eleven style fake money trick, take all the gold, and go someplace like Zafaria.

so i would take rule of a forgot spiral world and i would build a huge castle and have lots of cats and it would be so big only a really fast swashbuckler could get to the top floor under one day then 100000000000000 years and i would be next to the center of the armada place and keep on defeating them and then make fun of them just so i can laugh

I must say, it feels good to be back. I forgot how much fun the boards are. I remembered they were fun don't get me wrong, but it's boards like this that just bring the Message Boards to life. Great to see you again too Finnagan.

It's fantastic to see everyone again.

Me? I'd blow up Zafaria and Celestia because i hate those worlds.
I don't really have many ideas for my pirates except my Buccaneer, Kimbirly; she would probably use her money to get people to take down the armada if they were not gone already.

i would hire an assassin to erm remove avery from the area then claim all the gold for myself after that i'd buy marleybone and turn it into a giant taco factory that only sells mild sauce with its tacos and dominate the taco market in the spiral after that i'd expand into burritos and enchiladas

May I bring my own spicy sauce? Sorry, but my tacos need kick to be enjoyed.

Other than that, I wish I had thought of your idea. Mass production of food... Amazing.

In the world where i rule the Mexican food market spicy sauce was never invented, you see with my profits from owning taco tuesday i was able to build a time machine and prevent spicy sauce from being invented, you will never know what your missing
