Ship Scrip Yields - How Does It Work?

To any developer -

I have a number of questions:

1) Why is the ship Scrip yield so low?

2) Is there anything that determines the amount of Scrip yielded?

3) What's the chance of a ship yielding Scrip?

4) Will the amount of Scrip yielded increase after the next update?

And lastly:

5) Will the amount of Scrip yielded from ships in the next "Worldly Update" be greater than previous ships?

Thanks

1) Why is the ship Scrip yield so low?

That's a very open ended question. Low compared to what? Do you mean, "Why is scrip so hard to get?"

Because if scrip is hard to get, then the most expensive items in the Black Market are hard to get; and if the most expensive items in the Black Market are hard to get, then not everyone will have them; and if not everyone has them, then people who do have them will feel pretty good about their achievement.

2) Is there anything that determines the amount of Scrip yielded?

Enemy level sets the range, and a random roll determines the exact amount.

3) What's the chance of a ship yielding Scrip?

Sink a lot of ships and figure it out. Boss ships drop more often than regular ships, and towers drop more often than bosses. (Towers always drop some scrip, actually-- their rate is 100%.)

4) Will the amount of Scrip yielded increase after the next update?

The amount of scrip yielded from sinking ships? No.

Obviously, new ways to acquire scrip may eventually be added to the game; but you should still expect the amount of effort to earn 1 scrip to be relatively stable.

5) Will the amount of Scrip yielded from ships in the next "Worldly Update" be greater than previous ships?

No-- although, of course, if you sink higher level ships, they'll drop more than the current max level ships.

Mmm-k. Thanks, Ratbeard. That's what I wanted to hear.
