Unable to engage in broadside combat

I am not able to engage any Royal Squadron or Holy Monquisition ships in combat. They are green to me and will ignore my ship. I can not attack them. I have the quests but I can't complete them because of this problem. Are there any solutions to this?

A lot of people have also had this problem. I'm sure it's just a bug and will be fixed shorty. Until then, earn scrip!
