Are There Any MB Sidequest companions?

So i've been traveling around MB and I really haven't been seeing much of quests for companions so i'm going to ask are there any side quest companions In MB?

According to your class you will get one companion ( besides Gracie Conrad ) from the main story line in MB. There are no side quest companions here.

I heard if your pirate is a witchdoctor, that you can recruit a corcogator at the sewer as a side quest.
