help with dan drake and solitude acess

I am in mooshu but 2 cool ranch quests linger on my list dan drake which I go to in tumbleweed and he is not there to the left the quest helper tells me to go there and so then I can not access solitude to get last Dixie chick am I glitched or missing something I have done EVERY quest I have found.. help?

ps... I have done every side quest because I earned the badge twilight cowboy. can anyone out there help me with information on the legend of burly's gold?
