Grit can't go over 60/75?

In working the G/G/G on different pets, Grit appears to start out 60/60 but at some point it changes to 60/75, but when training I can't seem to get it to go over 60.

Anyone know how this works?

Not sure how this works exactly. Judging by what I have seen, the Pet seems to start with a set Guts/Guile/Grit. My Not So Great White Shark has 75/70/55; Ostrich has 60/60/60; Spiny Serpent and Tropical Sky Snake has 70/70/70; Scrimshaw Drake has 65/65/65; One Deathstalker Scorpion has 75/75/75 and another Deathstalker Scorpion has 75/75/90.

Each pet hatches with a set maximum for each stat. First generation pets all have the same maxima for their species. As we train our pets, some express talents that raise that maximum for a given stat by a prescribed amount. Morphed pets get different maximum stats ranging between those of the parents. We still have to train those stats up to the maxima, and Guts, Guile and Grit have special training routines that don't affect any other stat on our pets.

I don't think you understand.

Presently, my G/G/G meters show a possible maximum value of 60/60/75. I can get guts up to 60. I can get guile up to 60. But try as I might, Grit will not go above 60, leaving a gap above it of 15.

Here's an example:

Before doing Crab Walk, my pet's stats are 59/60, 58/60, and 57/75. Crab Walk is supposed to reduce Guts by 3, reduce Guile by 1, and raise Grit by 5. However, afterwards, the stats are 56/60 (a reduction of 3, which is correct), 57/60 (a reduction of 1, which is correct), and 60/75 (a raise of only 3 instead of 5).

Are there some snacks that push it up, or what?

What pet is it that you are having an issue with and is it a first generation or the result of morphing?

The pirate with the problem is Tiny Tim Taylor. The pet is Commodore Zoey, a Level 65 Mega Loyal Durango Buffaloon. I believe I got him as a drop BEFORE Advanced Pets.

My other two pets that I got before Advanced Pets have enhanced stats that don't display the problem. Baby George, a Level 65 Mega Loyal Ebon Spectre, which I got as a drop before Advanced Pets, has G/G/G of 67/70;67/70, 85/85. Princess Roxy, a Level 65 Mega Loyal Celestial Dragon, has G/G/G of 62/65,63/65/65/65 received as a reward, as I recall.

I went to the stables and found a Loyal Durango Buffaloon and leveled it up. It had Extra Gritty 1 like I think yours must have to have a 75 in Grit, then I sent it on the Crab walk over and over until it had 75/75 grit.
What tasks have you sent your Durango on, and what are all the talents and powers that it has?

Thank you

Powers: Black Hawk Screech, Windstalker, Grants Brutal Charge
Talents: Vengeance Strike 1, Extra Gritty 1, Extra Strength 2

I started out doing Jumping Jacks, over and over, until it was maxed (I had to eventually go down to Line Splicing when I ran out of stop watches. I then worked on Guts until it was maxed, then again on Guile, then Guts, finally working on Grit last, running out of water bottles, and doing Crab Walk. Crab Walk will not let it go over 60.

I continually try to get my Grit up over 60. It still seems to think I have a 60 limit while displaying a 75 limit.

I have given up. I got a new pet while Pet Wrangling, and sold the defective one.
