It's the same cycle through all of it. Defeat something, collect, talk and it starts all over again..
There should be a shortcut anyway, so we don't have to sail all the way through Monquista. And so what if we find Argos? You only get him as a companion if you're a privy. It will probably end up being that, like Catbeard, Argos will have probably had his piece stolen or lost or something. Then the cycle starts again. When you try to get the actual piece, Ulysses will still have 'little' errands.

Would like to know your thoughts.

Apologies for the rant,

Ahoy!

Well, for the shortcut part, you could use the transporter in skull island

Your rant isn't really a rant... more like an in-a-nutshell description of P101 (and W101) gameplay.
In case you missed it... most of the quests in Skull Island, Monquista, Marleybone, Mooshu, Valencia etc., etc. are ALL defeat something, collect, talk and then it starts all over again. It's pretty much the modus operandi of the game. And yeah, sometimes when we think we're through with a quest... voila!.... there's more to it! There's a purpose for all of those "little errands" Ulysses and the others have for us. Many of them lead to companion promotion tomes, lots of XP, loot etc. and leveling up would be pretty slow going without them.
