I just have a question that I have been wanting to ask for a while now.
Do crown shop companions get a quest line? Like the Magnificent Seven? or the crown equivalent to the starters, presidio and tavern companions?

All companions that have a promotion quest and are also received from a quest (by another class) will also have a promotion quest if you buy it from the crown shop.

(Example: Swashbucklers get Buffalo Bill, who has a promotion. If you buy Buffalo Bill as another class from the crown shop, Buffalo Bill will still have a promotion quest to promote him.)

If other classes get a companion with a promotion quest, and there is a companion in the crown shop that looks like this companion but is not this companion, it will not have a promotion quest.

(Example: Privateers get Emmet from the quest in the Kraken Skulls Tavern where Ratbeard escapes. His "clone," Exeter, from the crown shop, looks similar. He is not the same, though, so he does not have a promotion quest. He promotors for gold.)

Lots of good details and helpful info for potential companion purchasers. Good explanations there.
