Does it happen to be El Toro *music*? I can't think of a witty poetic reply... Uh...

You're mighty clever pirate
I just have to like it!
You're mighty smart to boot
Please take all my loot!

Another round! (Previous Answer: ...El Toro (music)

Marleybone to MooShu.

Found a new fruit,
Smuggled it home!
Look out, there's a tree root!

You can show your wonderful smarts any time you want. Having multiple winners just makes it more fun. Your offer of unselfish humility is so beautiful but I much prefer being proud of you for your incredible brain.

It's El Toro (music), and he plays it cool.
They don't sneak by him 'cause he's no fool.
he flies on... boats and gets on down,
Everybody knows he doesn't mess around.
he can whip 'em, trip 'em any time of day
The bane of tax collectors, he makes them pay.
So please don't try to beat his hustle
'Cause he's just here to do the Guess The Name Shuffle.
Lol, That is so cute. Oh another one well done. You guys are all so great and having such a wonderful time with this thread. Kudos GG

My guess is Captain Gunn-
He's really the only one
Who fits the description
On the poem inscription.
This game is very fun
And now my poem is done.

OOC: Sorry, I need to show my poetry ignorance here. What does that mean. I am hesitant to add anything now as I don't want to go against what you are suggesting.
Could I beg some of your time to explain it to me?

I'm glad that you like reading what I have to say. Alura tells me all the time, though, that I'm hurting her brain when I launch into any of my many monologues about scientific, historical, or literary subjects. XD When I asked her to read my post in the thread ideas for the armada queens name, and she did, I asked her what she thought of it.

"Eh... it was... informational." came the reply.

Since then I've been a little bit self-conscious about how informational I make my posts, but it warms me to the core to know that you're proud of me for sharing my thoughts. I'll keep your opinion close in mind and heart.

The funny thing about that post that I made in the armada queen's name thread is that I later found out that Janus is another Roman god entirely, the god of decisions, or quite literally, doorways.

Now, back to your regularly scheduled programming...

XD I'm going to do my best with this... here I go... Guess who!

Speed and cleverness
Defines this young swashbuckler
This cool Mouse Corsair.

She will tease, though she
Will fight fearlessly for you
It's your turn... Guess who!

Five, seven, then five
Is what makes up a haiku,
I hope I did well.

Here is another round of the poem quiz, can you guess who/what/where it is?

Person:
Red and blue, Black and White
A Smile and a Frown, a hideous sight
The one that vanished from a fight

Thing(s):
The one thing, that made a chase
The one thing, that made a race
The one thing, that holds the key
To a golden mystery

Place (Not El Dorado):
Gold Gold everywhere!
Down on the ground or in the air!
To obtain the treausres, one must make fall
A guardian of a turtle ball!

Ah I give up trying to come up with poetic replies.

Person: Phule
Thing: Map to El Dorado perhaps?
Place: Somewhere in Mooshu...
Those are some good riddles.

Twitching, tinkering, drawing near
A measured voice fills me with fear.
Marleybone's last defense draws near
As a Clockwork makes himself clear

Alchemy magic we do not know
We duel with him, a worthy foe.
At last he is defeated-no!
He finds that he now needs to go!

He tinkers for the Clockwork Kane
And wants to cause us so much pain
For we are now Armada's bane
Clockworks can be so very vain.

Can you guess who?

ah poem thread! that is nice.
do i want to join in? didn't think twice......

a poet i am surely not,
but i will try to express a thought.

i love pirate and i have three
and all are great to be

first about my buc, she is a sturdy gal
quick to hit to save a pal.

with milo and kobe at her side,
she lets no unjustice near her slide

fearlessly does she go exploring
just for the sake of the unknown knowing

now the next on my list has quite a crew
being a privateer she picked up a few

everyday she does the best she can
to watch over, lead and lend a hand

with bonnie and emmet always in line
she and the rest do just fine

and when the baddies are not lookin'
she drops a bomb and gets them cookin'

a spunky musketeer is the third on my list
and be wary of that rifle she has in her fist

she shoots fast and far with grace
making the enemy retreat a race

tho she is still fairly new,
she does have a loyal crew

in this bunch wing chun and dead mike are near
one needs to chill, the other sounds like e'or (oh dear)

then of course el toro arrives,
sometimes i wonder if he has nine lives

ratbeard is a poor haunted guy
(guess he should be careful of potions to buy)

now catbeard is a sight to see,
beating baddies with fish as they flee

so beware you evil doers out there
this merry bunch will skin you like a hare

if you do wrong it will be something to regret
all of my victoria kirks will stop you. you bet!

now sadly this rhym i must close
only room for the lines i chose

so if you see the dolphin, eagle or the fox sail on a ship
check the name, and as friends do equip

victoria kirk

Beautifully done and a masterful grasp of the game and companion personalities. You truly do have a poetic gift in spite of what you think about your talents.

thank you chrissy for that smile!
haven't wrote a poem in quite awhile.

i wish i could have written more,
but i ran out of room and didn't want to bore.

i do love this game and all the friends
sometimes we spat but make amends.

i love sailing the skyways dear,
i get annoyed when the yum is near.

my crew loves the purple stuff
i always have to say "enough!"

oh no! someone blasts a hole in the wall!
crew is ready! bonks to armada all!

el torro bonk here! milo bonk there!
bonnie you just shoot everywhere!

scratch ol' buddy your aim is getting better!
(told him to read the aiming book to the letter)

ratbeard and catbeard stop arguing with each other!
bonk some heads or i'll tell your mother!

barnabus and emmet are in a bind
watermoles three help them! please be so kind.

oh no! could it be?
the armada is about to beat me!

wait another ship is coming near
i hope it is nothing to fear!

i see a beautiful dove on the sail
what surprise will it unveil?

all of a sudden all i see
are a few pirates helping me

hey boss we are new!
we'll get these guys bonked in a few!

"swashbucklers! hooray!" i cry!
knock those armada into the sky!

a horse warrior from mooshu is impressive
tho the mouse's hair piece is excessive.

surrounded now by fist and sword
i bet those armada regret coming aboard

because now i no longer have just three
i made a swashbuckler. she's quick you see

now with reinforcements it's time for some fun!
bonked armada everywhere and now on the run

as the robots board their ships
a giggle escapes ratbeards lips

i hide my groan as best i can
as he asked for a helping hand

i lean on the rail as he disappears
i know what next i am going to hear

i just get my hands over my ears
when i hear a loud BOOM!. just as i feared

i watch as the ball hits it's mark
ship is now sunk. now toys for the shark

as ratbeard is now cackling with glee
i try to blow away the smoke so i can see

now they all look to the cask colored like plum
ok guys you earned it. open the yum!

i watch as my crew start to singing
tho i can't hear them with my ears a ringing

well it's time to end this tale
i really need to read my mail

as i read i start to grin
once again i have to catch fin!

but this will wait for tomorrow
as i look around in sorrow

in a yumkin stupor they are all passed out
oh well. i guess i'll go fishing for trout

Bonnie Anne Poem:

The dogs cry out, the streets are filled with fear!
The city panics; "oh my, oh dear!"

One by one they march, to conquer and to rule
The dreaded armada, so fierce and so cruel!

Marleybone is dying, everything defenseless!
Who will come, to bring aid to the helpless?

Who can stop this madness, who will make them fall?
Who will bring gladness, and answer helps call?

And then she came, a gun being her friend
To make the evil armada, halt to an end!

One by one they fell, with electrical bullet shocks
Yes they fell, by the hands of a fox!

The isle of dogs was safe, and hope soon began
All thanks to a red fox... named Bonnie Anne!
