Hello Pirate friends! My sails have caught a southern wind and I've returned to chat about a new topic!

Today, let's talk about rematches. Imagine yourself, at maximum level, pitting your best combat abilities against an old foe... who's also improved his battle prowess. What enemy (or even enemy became ally) would you choose to square off against at a higher level if you could? What sort of combat moves would you expect from them?

Looking forward to your thoughts!

Sometimes, we may not feel it is within the spirit and vision of the spiral to add or change something. Hmm, what a delicious concept! Whom would I most desire to meet again and serve up a plate of comeupance?
1. General Tso; due to his Immunity during that final battle, we never got the chance to smack him down - it was a deus ex machina win by grabbing his pet. If there was a way to remove his immunity, then I would love to face him again.

2. If there's one boss I would enjoy meeting again, it's Captain Hande and Bob Carrington ( not that we fought him ) but it would be nice if P101 returned to the pirate theme and let us fight pirates again as in the old days.
3. I'm sure a popular boss for everyone would be the Brass Monkey "I will have my vengeance, do you hear! "

Moves: well, very few of the bosses we face actually take the time to buff their minions, so a higher level boss should be doing that.

Frankie Blue Eyes and the Rat Pack -- we meet them in a dark alley or a casino, and they've acquired some new gangster tricks. They can circle around our team, and maybe they can sing an attack? Frankie and the rest of the guys could maybe do some dance moves, too. Or maybe Frankie has a new weapon, some giant loaded dice that deal damage as he rolls them our way.

Definitely gotta add some dolls/molls/dames to the battle. They've got their garter belt gats for a sneak attack.

I think it would be really cool if we were to have a battle with all of the Maruzame Guardians (Wood, Water, Metal, Fire, and Earth Guardians).

I would expect to have some of their special battle things (like the spike traps from the Metal guardian).

I would also expect them to have buffs.

Earth Guardian would have charges.
Metal Guardian would have shields (both buck and privy shields)
Water Guardian would have Spells.
Fire Guardian could have burn talent.
Wood Guardian would have summons.

I hope this is a hint that 5 new levels are coming to Pirate 101!

Now to answer the question, here are a few possibilities for enemies we could fight again:

Moo Manchu - We have encouraged Moo at least 3 times and fought him twice, Moo Manchu might be good to fight again, I think Monkey King would like the chance to defeat him once and for all

Queen - We pretty much have to fight Queen as Queen will likely take over the Armada in Kane's defe.

Those are the most likely 2 in my opinion for us to fight again, however if I could pick any enemy I wanted to fight again, I think I would pick:

Ch'ok Ak'ab - I think it would be fun to fight an enemy with very high amount or unlimited amount of heals again, imagine if Ch'ok Ak'ab was also a good at critical hits as well.

Wow - that is a great concept. Making our plans on the battleboard without knowing where he or his creatures were waiting for us?

Maybe it could be like a Wizard101 thing, where certain Wizard City NPCs that were previously unimportant became antagonists? What if it was revealed that Dooley in Skull Island was some sort of traitor, since he's never involved in any quest, he could easily have evil affilations! That would be pretty funny, actually.

This is a marvelous idea!

For an old foe to face? Someone waaay back yonder. How about Ch'ok Ak'ab? Or perhaps some kind of deadly, poisonous Troggy?

Gonna build off this idea since I think we can make this fight work really well.

You go into a chamber. Fin, Marcus, and a cutthroat musket are there to meet you. You go into the battle expecting something normal. Everyone is level 70 with generic stats for there level. This is no surprise to you, but you haven't caught on yet. They are joined by 2 shark muskets and 2 shark buccaneers. Once 10 seconds have elapsed in the round, Fin exclaims, "The dark is where I shine," and you realize that you only have the first ten seconds of the battle to make your choices, before the screen goes black and you have to click based on memory in the dark. Fin also has a new attack where he can throw his cutters like boomerangs and deal damage to multiple companions, just to spice it up a little. Fin is decked out with some new armor, and Marcus now sports a metallic and bigger trident for his hand. Once the orders section is finished, when the attack portion starts the lights come back on and the round plays out like normal. Fin's "The dark is where I shine" cheat persists throughout every round.

It would be pretty cool if Fin Dorsal gathered every major pirate boss we’ve defeated in skull island to finally get revenge on us, even allied with the Rat Pack, just for us to defeat them all again.
Then there’s the Brass Monkey, I feel like he’s someone who’d still be loyal to the crown that Gortez toppled, maybe Gortez hires us to help take down a growing renegade faction led by him. He was obviously more focused on revenge on us last time we saw him, but I think finding out the monarchy fell in his absence would maybe make his rage a bit more focused on someone else.
Also maybe Death himself, he became a bit of an ally in Cool Ranch but I think in general he’d be considered an enemy. Maybe if we needed to protect someone from dying like poor Gazpaccio after that incident in the final dungeon we’d get a reason to face off with him.
There’s General Tso who was an enemy so powerful to our pirate at the time that he was just immune to our attacks, maybe now at level 70 we’d finally be able to chip away at his health a bit. Problem with this though is after doing the Moo Manchu dungeon so many times I’d rather not see another Mooshu focused gauntlet, I think a skeleton key like battle would suffice. Tso could just be a complete juggernaut with like 30000 health and could have a deadly frenzy ability, but instead if accuracy his hit rate could be based on his strength rating instead, making it a bit harder to counter.
The final person I’d like to see again is Duck of Death, he kind of seemed to have died in a fiery inferno last time we saw him, but after he was posthumously given an awesome puppet show a while ago I kind of want to face off with him again. Since he apparently made a pact with Grandfather Spider I think there’s some interesting abilities he could have if we fought him again at level 70. Maybe some Shadow-like spells.

Although I really like this idea of Fin having a cheat; there is just one problem with this: most players would think that they're experiencing a major bug with the game when their screen goes black.. How about a team Hide for Fin and his minions? ( For 2 or 3 turns ). Then his cheat of the "dark is where I shine" ( as a ironic reference to Walk in Darkness ) would still allow players to prepare defenses or attacks.
It would also be interesting to have a boss that uses a hide ( the only one currently is Josef of the Nefarious Five.)
He could even drop gear that gives Walk in Darkness, useful for any class.

So I realized I forgot to propose combat abilities, since I already committed with one large pile of text I may as well make a second one elaborating on some of my ideas since this Falmea Friday peaked my interest.

Fin Dorsal and the gang: I think there’s a fairly easy way to make these characters menacing which is to activate their Pirate talents. Let’s say the reason we are fighting them is because they led us into a trap and ambush us, hence giving the pirate advantage, and they’ll all have high ranks of pirate resulting in them having high accuracy and damage.

Count Brastillo de Brass: Making monquistadors menacing will be difficult because they have notoriously bad epic talent options. Instead of just giving them good talents by default I think it should happen as result of a battle standard. It can give them good epic talents, increased stats, extra attack range and all the stuff they need to be mildly intimidating. They should also outnumber us since they’re kinda like goblins who need numbers to be dangerous. And since there’ll be a lot of them and they’ll probably group up the standard might as well grant a talent that counters aoe damage. Fortify: for each ally adjacent to you, take 20% less aoe damage. So if there’s 5 ally’s next to a monquistador, they’ll be immune to aoe damage. The key to winning this battle would be to take down the well defended battle standard.

Death: There’s a lot of interesting abilities Death should have, I don’t think he needs to do massive damage like Kane but he should completely ignore any form of shield or armor. He can also have a pestilence ability that reduces stats of enemies within 3 squares of him, with the reduction increasing the closer you are. Whenever he gets a kill he should get a permanent stat boost and a heal, at around 3 kills he will basically become a maniac so using summons in this battle should be a bad idea. And of course he needs Soul Harvest talent, for obvious reasons.

Yes, that is the tarantula that sometimes uses Black Fog. Of course, Atlach-Zath is a lower level boss so it probably doesn't matter all that much. Atlach-Zath is also known to use one of the Swashbuckler poison powers.

Poison is common among lower mid to higher level bosses, even Shroud is in use among the Nefarious-Five. That would be a difficult power to encounter, especially combined with a Hide or Old Scratch type buffs. Prof. Falmea, make a note!

I'd want a rematch with Bishop (excluding the Machine fight because he isn't the only boss). Id hope for him using some unique moves or something to make the battle intresting and have better epics.

Rematch with Moo Manchu and The Nefarious FIVE. New and Improved Gear for Moo and The fIve, More floors than the first, and new battle conditions and cheats. Moo Manchu and The Nefarious Five are some of the most interesting characters in the game, and remember what Monkey King said after we deafeated Moo. "I have a feeling we haven't seen the last of Moo Manchu" or something along those lines. BUt yeah, bringing back the NEfarious five and moo with new and improved gear and new fighting styles would rock.

How anyone could possibly want MORE floors in a dungeon is beyond me. I almost never have a free chunk of time to do the Tower as it is.

Harder doesn't necessary mean longer.
