OOC: Nice description! You made me feel like I was reading an adventure book.

Connor stared in awe as Warwick gracefully but brutally took out the clockwork. Then he smiled, knowing Warwick was something special. Connor glanced farther back down into the ravine. There's still something I need to check on, he thought. Well, two things, perhaps. Connor carefully climbed into the abyss, for all signs of his burning aggression earlier were gone.

When he got to the bottom, he hid in shadows. There were clockwork marines patrolling the area, but Connor was to elusive for them to find him. Then hunger and weakness clawed at him. Dropping to the ground, Connor moaned in pain, though he tried not to make any sound. But it was too late.

Knowing he had failed, Connor limped out toward the clockworks, who already had seemed to have noticed him. Then Connor abruptly lost conscious. A clockwork grabbed him, and threw him in a cage, a cage next to another cage with someone inside. And this person was very familiar to Connor.
Lizzy peered at the lock on Connor's cage, her hand reaching up to her hair, where a flower on a pin held her hair over her left ear. She took out the pin and crouched in front of Connor's lock. From what she saw, he was still passed out, meaning that she would have to drag him out. As soon as she unlocked the door, Lizzy's invisibility would wear off, meaning she would have to act fast. She grew anxious as she picked at the lock, her emotions intensified because of how cold she was. Her clothes had been soaked right through to her body, and the freezing water pressing up against her flesh made her cold to the bone. It was hard to do anything while she shivered, let alone drag a buccaneer out of an armada base camp and up a ravine wall without being spotted by the enemy.

She held her breath as she felt her pin fit into the keyhole well enough to turn it, then gulped. She had to be prepared, and held her next spell, Black Fog, at the ready. She turned the pin.

Click

The cage door swung open easily, and a blonde haired, green-eyed teen shivering like a Chihuahua came into view. But only for a brief moment, though, as she and the clockwork's most recent human prisoner disappeared.

Lizzy hooked her arms under Connor's shoulders and heaved with all her might, getting him a few inches out of the cage. "Come on, come on, Lizzy!" She chastised herself. "Why are you such a little weakling? You can't even get your friend out of a cage if both your life and his depended on it!"

Which it did.

Elizabeth staggered under his weight and collapsed, his dead mass unexpected and he fell on top of her. She once again casted Black Fog as the first had worn out, then wriggled out from under Connor and dragged him further and to the wall of the ravine. The whole time she was muttering to herself under her breath, mentioning how she was so weak and frail if she can't even get her friend out of trouble. She was really harsh on herself, as she began to cry quietly.

She dragged him into the shadows just before her third invisibility spell wore off. Lizzy propped Connor up against the wall and sat down next to him, trying to catch her breath.

"Connor's not heavy," She said pointedly, "but you're too light."

She stopped muttering when she saw clockworks point at the open cage in confusion, and then begin to search the area. Lizzy held her breath as they came near her, and she quickly used her final invisibility spell right before they were nearly on top of them. One of them looked directly at her, but saw nothing and pointed the others away. This was her final and weakest invisibility spell, and it would only last three minutes. Make it last. She dragged Connor up and out of there quickly, her back making uncomfortable popping noises, but she pressed on and managed to get him back to where Warwick and Alex were. She fell to the ground with a loud thump and laid there, visible to all, gazing at the sky, crying from her harsh words and shivering from her damp clothes.

Warwick stumbled forwards and uncorked the potion that Lizzy had given him, pouring it into Connor's mouth. Warwick looked uneasily to the sides, considering his next action. He hadn't used something like it in years. The burst of light would make a signal for the Armada to run towards. Warwick tended to the both of them simultaneously, ignoring his own wounds, and waited for a shaft of light to poke through the clouds. The one that did, even though it was a toothpick's width, seemed to be just enough. The ray of light glowed brilliantly just feet away, expanding to release a flock of brown birds, all of which hovered over the pirates. An owl, overpowering the other birds, beat its wings over Lizzy, immediately drying and restoring her. Before the light was too much, Warwick canceled the effects with a wave of his hand.

As Warwick took a shaky breath, he realized that his preventative actions still weren't enough. Clockworks marched over the elevation in the ravine, loading their sparkshooters and marching in tandem. Warwick helped pick both of the fallen pirates, and handed Lizzy to Alex, waiting for the both of them to regain their senses. He gestured with his hands for a moment, then corrected himself and spoke.

"We need to get out of here," he whispered, "It's going to rain again, and once it does, we're all doomed. There's to be a landslide. We can climb the gears." Warwick quickly saluted Alex and helped Connor to his feet as he regained strength. Warwick's armor was chipped all over, some scales having fallen off completely. Others yet were being shed as he limped. A headache pounded at Warwick's skull and his jaw was held ajar. Yet, it looked like nothing would stop him. From his trusty drawstring, Warwick took out his service badge, stating his name and position, and held it in his shaky palm. The lesser, more nimble clockworks approaching slowed once seeing it. The pirates were surrounded, but the Armada seemed to halt. Warwick didn't like it at all. In an instant, Connor sprung to life, going back towards the cages. The Armada seemed to follow him in alarm. Warwick stopped in his tracks and looked back in shock.

Lizzy snapped back into full attention when she felt a soft weight on her stomach. She sat up, gently picking up the dead bird, and looked into its eyes. "Thank you." She murmured, then she set the brown bird down and stood up, looking as shaky as a baby tree in the wind. Lizzy bent her back, putting her hands on the ground behind her, then lifted her legs until she had gotten into a handstand. She curled forward, landed on her feet, the stood up to her full height again, which was shorter than Warwick. Although Warwick had fixed her exhausted muscles and her back, which seemed to have gotten out of place when she had hauled Connor out of the deeper part of the ravine, she was still cold freezing as a firebird in Polaris. Lizzy shivered as she gazed around her, noticing that Connor had once again slipped out of view and back down the ravine.

She shook her head. Boys never learn.

And, shortly after this, the armada marched towards them as if someone had set off a beacon. All at once, they stopped marching, forming a perfect circle around the group.

"C-c-c-come on!" Lizzy complained, "C-c-c-c-can't you give us h-h-h-half an hour without being a-a-a-attacked!" She unsheathed her weapons and almost instantly dropped them because she was shaking so much. Lizzy held her hand horizontally out in front of herself and gazed at it, seeing that her hand was quivering in such a way that she couldn't have held a glass of water upright if she had all of the willpower in the world, let alone hold her weapons long enough to fight. She stooped downward and sheathed them quickly before she could drop them again.

Lizzy breathed in shakily. She held her arms straight above her head, then began. She did a few handsprings forward towards the line of clockworks, then she launched herself with all her might, sailing over the heads of the machines and landing elegantly on the other side. What she lacked in strength, she made up for in agility. Lizzy smiled with triumph, but realized that although Alex may have an anti-gravity potion and Trinity had a hover board, Warwick had none of these. She sighed, wrapping her arms around herself and her fingers latching onto her shoulderblades in an attempt to help herself warm up. How was she going to get him out of there? He obviously couldn't fight because of his own bruises and scratches, and he seemed to be too stubborn to heal himself as well.

Liz shook her head, then leaped back over the clockworks and stood by Warwick's side. If he was going down, she was going down too. Friends stick together, and she wasn't going to let a robot army change this belief.

Alex was definitely confused. Fear, rage, sadness, and even envy welled up in her soul, and she had to do all she could not to start grabbing the nearest weapon. Lizzy's thanks were kind and eased some of the negativity she felt, but some refused to depart. All she decided to do was assist her friends in this war. She convinced herself that Warwick was not her enemy- and her friend, just like everyone else, but she felt this terrible sensation that he did not seem to like her being there with them. Uncertainty joined the negativity she felt. As she was given Lizzy to hold onto, she saluted back though. GAH... Why was life so confusing?

But the clockworks' presence just terrified her. She whispered something along the lines of 'I'm scared' in a volume that was hardly audible.

Connor reached the bottom of the ravine, near the cages. He scribbled a note that said, Go on without me. I'll catch up. I hope. He folded it into a paper airplane, and flew it up to the others. After picking up on a useful swashbuckler skill, Connor used it in an instant. The last thing of Connor's to disappear, was the fire in his eyes.

Sneaking to the cages, Connor surveyed the cages. His gaze stopped on one large cage in particular. Inside was his brother.

He quickly dashed and rounded the cage twice. Although it tired him out much, he managed to pry open Sean's cage, which made Sean jump. For some strange reason, none of the clockworks seemed to notice the noise, or the reappearance of Connor. "Sean......Sean!" Connor whispered loudly, but only as audible so Sean could hear him. Both of them nodded in unison. Then Connor winced as pain clawed at him again. Thinking fast, Sean casted a superior heal on him, just as the Armada noticed the two. Together, Sean and Connor charged at the clockworks, taking them out by the second. Arm to arm, they pushed forward. They climbed the wall quickly, and surfaced just as Lizzy leaped to Warwick's side. Both with a grin, Sean and Connor joined to make two become four.

Warwick stood behind Lizzy and Alex. His entire body creaked. Perhaps adrenaline had pushed him through the humanoid clockwork, but he doubted that he had the strength to get through anything more. A fourth of the clockworks chased after Connor, and the rest turned to the remaining three. Warwick's moment of complete and utter control disintegrated. He felt the nervous sweat on the back of his neck begin to drip, and looked anxiously to Lizzy and Alex.
"I..." he admitted, "I don't think I can do this. Our priorities are as told: First we get Connor, and then we get out. We fight as much or as little is necessary." Warwick looked up, as if sniffing the air. He nodded to the others and walked into the mob of clockworks, badge gleaming. Most of them parted, as if in recognition. Warwick pushed away all those that confronted him and limped into the next clearing.
"Connor?" he yelled into the large space, "Connor?"

Lizzy gazed after Warwick, mouth agape, and stared for a little bit at his back as he parted the crowd of clockworks easily. She came out of her trance with a start and bounded after Warwick like a playful puppy, then strode at his side. Looking over at the way he seemed to walk with a dignified but humble pride, Lizzy stood to her full height, shoulders back, chin held in the air. Really the best way to describe the way she was walking was that she was 'sauntering', only she had a goofy childish manor about it. She faltered, though, when she saw Warwick just push away those that didn't comply. He just... pushed them away. Was that possible? How could he do that? Lizzy leaned forward to get a look at that badge of his. It looked normal, so it couldn't be magic. She resumed her 'sauntering', this time with a befuddled look on her face. This guy was battered and bruised and could easily be taken out by any of the clockworks in a wink, yet none of them dared to challenge Warwick. Why was this? It didn't seem to make any sense!

'Power is not strength'. She remembered a certain bull friend of hers had once told her in the past. 'Power is control.'

She turned to look Warwick in the eye. Grey eyes, she noted. His face held a determined look, and just by looking at him she felt obliged to do whatever he wanted. "Power." She murmured, turning back to face the wall of clockworks that parted obligingly. Warwick's badge had nothing to do with it.

Her thoughts were interrupted by a paper airplane getting stuck in her hair. "Well that was random." Lizzy spoke matter-of-factly, then took the paper airplane out of her hair and read the note scribbled urgently on it.

Go on without me. I'll catch up. I hope.

As soon as Lizzy showed the letter to the others, clockworks went flying, and in the recent clearing Lizzy spied Connor with another boy that looked very similar to him. Probably his brother. She smiled and waved to them, then handed Connor back his airplane. "You dropped this. My hair found it."

Luke raced to the Vigrid Roughlands. He saw a ravine in his path. He looked ahead... Was that? Yes it was! It was Lizzy and Warwick and some other Pirate.. But Where was Connor? He called out to them, "HEEEEEEEEEEEEY!!!!!!" They couldn't hear him. He yelled louder. Lizzy caught sight of him and nudged Warwick and Alex. They saw Luke, and they were wondering what to do. Alex found a hover potion, and flew the group over to Luke. When Lizzy got to him she said, "Hey, What's up?" Luke said back, "You just left me! Didn't tell me! I had to ask all these pirates!" Lizzy started to stutter out, "S-s-sor-" but she was interrupted by Luke. He said, "You might as well not need me!" And after that, he jumped into the ravine. The sound was so loud, it could be heard from miles and miles away. Which got Connor's attention. He raced toward the sound and saw Luke.

I personally am not sure if these are actual events, I had to read very breifly.

OOC: Umm....In case you hadn't noticed, everyone is fighting for their lives. I don't think a hover potion could fly the whole group up to Luke, and plus, I for one don't think you should control other people's characters.
~
Connor glanced skyward. There he thought he saw Luke, but now was not the time to find out. Battling side by side Sean, together they struck down enough clockworks so that the others could escape. "Goooo!!!" Connor screamed at the top of his lungs. Separating, Connor and Sean both drove the clockworks back into the ravine, and Connor, but not Sean, dove in after them.

In the abyss, Connor skimmed through the hallways, looking for a generator room. Instead he found a labratory, with a curious half of a white windstone was in a display case. He smashed the glass to the case, and pulled out the windstone half. That's when he noticed them; clockwork mages. Using a lulling spell, they quickly put Connor to sleep.

Warwick ran into the clearing at the sound of fighting. He was winded after only twenty yards of running, and took a breather with his eyes closed. He looked up and saw someone who looked...strikingly similar to Connor. Warwick stood straighter (making the figure only three inches taller) and approached it. Things began to click in Warwick's worn-out mind.

"You're Sean, aren't you?" Warwick asked, extending his hand. He didn't follow through with a shake, though, at the sound of the fighting just a little further off. Clockwork mages walked through the parting crowd, all carrying another figure. (So, SO sorry for this tiny mod, Thunderchu...) Warwick could tell by the look on Sean's face that confirmed the identity of the body the mages were carrying. Warwick grit his teeth and turned to Sean.

"Well, do something about it!" Warwick barked. His knees wobbled horribly and a headache taking up the crown of his head throbbed. "Connor's, what, your brother, right? You ought to go save him, since he saved you." Warwick glared back, his eyes glaring with malice. "Why didn't you follow him? If I had a brother, then that's what I'd do." Warwick limped into the crowd, mostly unharmed by the clockworks. He jogged alongside the walking clockworks until he couldn't keep up, following their path after fifteen seconds of jogging.

Sean narrowed his eyes, and thought for a moment. Then he said calmly, "I've had enough experience to know that Connor doesn't need my help. Besides, do you realize how many times I've bailed him out of situations? We should leave while the clockworks seem to be busy." Sean ran, caught up to Warwick, and pulled him back by the dragon scales of his armor. Sean turned to leave.

OOC: Hope you don't mind this part, DS Devereaux.

Warwick turned around, his eyes an inferno. He scored a hit on Sean's backside, which made Sean whirl around and strike back. Warwick deflected it, the kicked Sean. OOC: That's what's so fun about Warwick! I never really know what he's going to do or how he's going to act, so it's pretty fun to show Lizzy's reaction, as she is very different from him.
~
Lizzy, having become Warwick's shadow, followed him into the clearing and met up with Sean. After Warwick had chastised him, Lizzy stood on her toes and gave Connor's big brother a hug, then spoke. "Pleasure to meet you, wish our introductions were in better times, though!" She dashed after Warwick, then chuckled. "You and I both know you don't need a brother to help somebody!" When Warwick could no longer keep up with the mages, Lizzy's hands became lightning as she took out a bottle of yum-n-aid, her last one, and thrust it roughly into Warwick's chest with a pointed look. "Drink it. Now." Lizzy put her hands on her hips and tapped her foot with urgency, raising her eyebrows at Warwick like a mother would. She refused to leave his side until he healed himself, which left Sean, Alex, Angel, or Trinity to rescue Connor. Lizzy had already saved him once within that last half hour, now it was somebody else's turn. Lizzy continued to tap her foot as Warwick gave her a glaring look that translated to 'Do I really have to do this?'

'Yes.' Lizzy fired back with a nod. "Next time I really won't let you fight a clockwork leader until you do." She leaned over and gave him a hug. "Thanks for that, by the way."

Warwick glared at Sean (OOC: Nice job, Thunderchu!) and wiped his mouth, scowling. Sean showed the least loyalty and brotherly respect that Warwick had ever known, and it disgusted him. He gulped down the Yum-n-Ade in a single chug, corking and storing the bottle without any acknowledgement of the hug.

"Yeah, yeah," Warwick grumbled, walking through the emptying ravine. It was completely necessary to kick you, Sean, Warwick grumbled to himself, I don't imagine persuading you in any other way. Warwick continued on, trudging through the moist dirt and brisk afternoon, chewing on his cheek in order not to snap at Connor. The three walked in silence until they approached a clockwork-style building. It was tall, perhaps a few stories high, and the mages' power seemed to be emanating from the doorframe, based on Warwick's immediate twitch. Magic didn't go well with him. He stood there, sizing the place up with his eyes and weary mind. Minutes passed in silence.

Lizzy held still, hardly daring to breathe. She knew that if she was given the opportunity, she would risk her life for Andrew, and knew that he would do the same for her. Maybe it was just a twin thing, but still, it seemed inhuman for Sean to just leave his little brother unconscious in the arms of the enemy. Lizzy suddenly regretted that hug she had given him as a welcome to the crew.

But as she saw Warwick bend over double from exhaustion of that little burst of energy he had to strike Sean, she was cruelly reminded that Warwick wasn't the most, erm, 'stable' person to ever walk Grizzleheim. Lizzy held her elbows, unsure of what to do. For a brief moment, she was crushed from sorrow. Her land had been fully invaded by the armada, and it seemed there was nothing she could do about it. It wasn't like she could just take out her rapiers and defeat the entire army, nor had she really done anything to help her friends. The best thing she had done was half-drag one of them out of the clutches of the armada, only to find that once he had woken up he dove right back down and rescued his brother, a brother who was hardly grateful enough to return the favor and who was actually watching the clockwork mages take Connor away. She could accept the fact that Connor had risked himself for his brother, but she couldn't accept the fact that Sean had the nerve to even think about leaving his little brother to fend for himself. That just irked her.

What should she do? For some reason she just couldn't bring herself to go after Connor. He was unpredictable and she didn't trust him very much, but he still needed somebody to help him.

Lizzy started in his direction, but something held her back. She turned around. It had felt so real, like somebody's hand was on her shoulder, preventing her from going after Connor. But there was nothing holding her back.

So why couldn't she bring herself to do it?

Elizabeth sighed and stood closely to her friend. She had no clue what do to, and looked to Warwick for guidance.

"Okay, I can't take it anymore." Lizzy sighed and shook her head, turning to Warwick. "You're such a grouch, and you know it. Maybe it's just me unable to accept who you are, or maybe you need to change." She rubbed her eyes and stifled a yawn. It may only be the afternoon in Grizzleheim, but she had been up for several hours, was exhausted, and desperately needed sleep. "I would tell you to 'lighten up', but I imagine your sick of hearing it and now wouldn't be the best time." Lizzy gazed upward at the large clockwork building, wrapping her arms around herself and holding onto her shoulder blades. This made her look and feel small, but it was comfortable and helped her keep warm as it began to rain. She flinched at the raindrop that landed on her nose, but ignored it and many others as the damp girl was now soaked. She shivered from the instant cold, but continued to gaze at the clockwork structure. "Now is pretty tedious, though, so I don't blame you for being a little negative." Lizzy looked down at her now muddy boots. "But please stop, you're making me feel sad." Her usually happy expression had turned into one of sorrow, making her seem quite a few years older. Lizzy refused to look upward, feeling as helpless as she looked. At least this time she had the help of Warwick and Sean to rescue Connor, if he need any rescuing. She wrapped her arms more tightly around herself, her jaw clicking as crossed her fingers, both to help them warm up and for good luck.

Warwick stood before the building. He too felt something pulling him back, tugging on his sleeves and even his hair. Something rushed by him, whispering in his ears and pushing him back roughly. Feeling the impact in his lungs, Warwick stumbled back, eyes wide open in shock. He put one foot back to stabilize himself.
"Alright," he announced, "That's not safe." Warwick raised a single claw from his set of four per hand, "That's why we're going in." Warwick stepped forward, feeling himself move through a gelatin-like space of thick air that held him back. He made it to the door of the fortress and used the claw to attempt to pry open the large lock on the door handle. After some tinkering, Warwick painstakingly backed up and performed a well-placed kick, knocking the lock off. The odd air dissipated immediately, making room for Warwick to ram the door in with his shoulder.
"Come on!" he yelled, running in at full speed.

Trudging ahead, Sean noticed a crumple piece of paper laying on the ground. He frowned, recognizing Connor's handwriting.

Go on without me. I'll catch up. I hope.

Now he understood. "Connor has an ulterior motive for getting caught! Let's grab what we need, and leave-NOW!" Sean growled. As something shiny caught his eye, he saw a complete white windstone. Picking it up, Sean had a strange, evil look on his face. Soon, what is rightfully mine will be. I'll have everything in place. The whole spiral will bow down before me. It's time to go to Wintertusk.

Meanwhile, Connor began coming to. He was in another cage. Connor's face fell. Now, thanks to Sean, he had enough energy to stand. Then, with great force, mustering up all the energy he had, Connor bursted out of the cage.

No clockworks around. Good. Pulling out his white windstone pieces, Connor examined them more. He tried fitting them together. Then, by some magical force, they all began to fit together, like a jigsaw puzzle putting itself together. The windstone wasn't complete, but it was a good start. Connor smiled, starting toward the door.

(Minor modding all around here to make ends meet. Basically, Lizzy (and Alex? Trinity/Angel?) followed Warwick into the building while Sean stayed out and composed his plans.)

Warwick ran right into Connor.

"Oh, good," he mumbled, wiping his mouth, "You got out." Warwick pulled Connor and Lizzy on, surprised on the lack of clockworks in the building. He didn't see anyone else occupying the other cages. However, as he passed a bookshelf, a single map case hung from a peg on the side. Glancing to the sides, Warwick picked it up.

"We'll need this," he said, catching up to the others. When they at last reached the outside as a group, Warwick found Sean surprisingly gone. Warwick could see Lizzy jump in shock and Connor almost grumble a little.

"You...don't suppose he took off on us?" Warwick said, insensitive to Lizzy. He squatted, feeling the ground for extraordinary firmness - in the case of footprint concealment - or loose qualities. He stood, shaking his head. "We need to get out, first thing," he said, "At least out of this ravine. It will be safer up -" Warwick saw a shadow on the cliff face quickly hiding itself, "What was that?"

OOC: Lizzy can't wake up until she out of the ravine because of the clockwork mage's magic. She can't wake up once she's out of the ravine on her own, so this oughta be interesting... also, dream time is different from real time, so although her dream may have only lasted a few minutes, she could be asleep for several hours. I'm eager to see how you react to this. Good luck, guys!

Lizzy paled. Her nerves had spiked as soon as they had entered the clockwork building and had yet to seize from climbing, and she nearly leaped out of her skin when she saw the shadow hide itself. "Please, guys, let's get out of here. Connor didn't choose to get kidnapped, but Sean left by himself. That was his choice, let's leave it that way." She shivered from the cold and the rain and glanced at the thundering sky, her eyes weary. She really needed some sleep, and she feared she might just collapse before they escaped the clockworks. "Please, let's go." For a moment Lizzy swayed, but snapped her eyes opened and pinched herself, hoping to wake up. But when she looked at Warwick, he seemed to be waving like water. She turned to Connor, hoping against hopes that Connor was different, but he wasn't. He too was waving like the ocean. "I don't think... I don't think I can do this." What little light there was became blurry, and then things began to fade. She fell, unconscious, her mind now completely oblivious to the cold and the rain pelting the group. However, she still curled into a ball, and hugged her stomach, even in her sleep.

"Oh, Lizzy..." A familiar voice murmured in her mind. Was it possible? Lizzy hadn't heard that voice in years!

"Mom?!" Lizzy called into the darkness, unable to see or feel anything. She was floating in a large, black, empty space, and there was nothing there but sounds.

"Don't forget, you're Daddy's here too." Lizzy broke into a wide smile at the sound of her Dad. She could so perfectly remember the little crinkle next to his eyes when he smiled.

"Hey, Daddy." She now felt perfectly calm, like she was once again with her family.

"I'm here too, you know." Lizzy's twin brother swam into view, as did her mother and father. They all enveloped her in a hug, then backed away, examining her.

"My my, you've grown so much, Elizabeth." Her mother spoke. Blonde hair and brown eyes, she smiled, lifting Lizzy's chin gently. The two were exactly the same height.

"Yeah, I never gave you permission to grow up, Liz!" Her dad laughed, emerald green eyes glinting in an invisible light.

Andrew was the only one who looked sad. "Lizzy, Mom and Dad told me that you need some help." He laughed. "I see that now. We're here to tell you that you need to wake up."

"Wake up, Lil' Liz." Daddy gave her a quick hug, then backed away, still smiling. "You'll see us again, don't worry."

"But, Daddy-"

"Your friends need you, Elizabeth." Her mom said, now having a critical eye. "Connor and Sean -- watch out for them. Never let your guard down around them."

"Bye, Liz." Andrew gave his sister a hug. "We'll all see you later, I promise."

Lizzy nodded. "Bye guys." She gave them each a kiss on the cheek (Andrew protesting), then willed herself to wake up.

She didn't wake up.

She tried again, with the same result. "Andrew, what's going on?"

"I don't know." he replied anxiously, then his eyes widened. "Someone on the outside needs to wake you up."

Connor stared, for Lizzy was saying everything aloud. One thing rang out to him more than the other. Don't let your guard down around Connor and Sean. The words stung him like a bee.

Connor felt for his belt. There weren't many necessities on it, but Connor felt for things anyway. As he rounded, reached the back, he stopped, his eyes widening. There were three mojo potions there. They had just enough healing abilities to get out of the ravine and get to a safe spot to camp out for the night.

Connor was getting sleepy, but he said to Warwick, "Mou-mantai. We'll get-get through this, I promise." Connor gave Warwick two mojo potions, as if he were referring to, 'take one, and give the other one to Lizzy, I'm not doing that.'

Connor steadily drank from the potion.

Warwick had carefully caught Lizzy as she had fallen, kneeling to give her the potion. By this time, hours had passed of just walking through the ravine. Lizzy seemed to shudder and reach a calmer state with the acceptance of the potion.
"'Attagirl," Warwick whispered, picking her back up, "We need to get out of this ravine. Connor, do you see a lift or something?" Warwick feared that there was no easy out. Meanwhile, the shadow on the walls seemed to be following the three. Warwick saw it out of the corner of his eye every few minutes and was getting more worried about it.
"Connor, do you see a -" This time, sound accompanied the moving of the figure. Warwick walked faster.
