Not loading when I get the the game? Much?

Well I was getting on P101 recently and my friend needed help so I ported to him, I couldnt see anything but me and my companion.

My friend told me earilier that its cause its busy but I dont really believe that.

Did I have to update something? I really need help on this cause I dont wanna get caught in a ship battle cause that seriously happened. I was in the Monquista skyways when I got caught by Batcuadas, BAM ONE OF MY COMPANIONS DIED!

But if its updating... Something? Please post so I can know.
