Fun thread.
Thanks for the next line Crissy. A group poem, I like it. Hope ABBA rhyme suits you.
Highlander Fox, good and very emotional poem.
I enjoyed the Zeena poem, and await with trepidation what fate might await me in a tale of my heroics.

We are the Swashbucklin' Crew
Duelin' on down, doin' it for you
We're so bad, we know we're good
Blowin' your mind like we knew we would
You know we're just struttin' for fun
Struttin' our stuff for everyone
We're not here to start no trouble
We're just here to do the Swashbuckler's Shuffle!

Well the call me Seamus, and I like to duel
Fighting the Armada is really cool
We've had the goal since I've been free
To find El Dorado, bring it back to Avery.
We're not doing this because we're needy
The pirates are doing it to fight the greedy
We didn't come here to look for trouble,
We just came here to do the Swashbuckler's Shuffle!

This is Sarah Steele, and I'm all that.
I like to duel but I love my awesome hat.
I practice all day and practice all night
I've got to get ready for our next Bishop fight.
Now I'm as smooth as a bowl of cream
I dance a little funky, but I'm a dream.
There's not one here that does it like me,
My Swashbuckler's Shuffle will set you free.

I'm Khan Subodai I stop 'em cold,
Heart of the Bucs, big and bold.
I've been brawlin' for quite a while,
Doin' what's right and settin' the style
Give me a chance I'll rock you good,
There'll be no Armada in my neighborhood!
I didn't come here lookin' for trouble,
I just came here to do the Swashbuckler's Shuffle.

I'm the punky monkey known as the King,
When I'm on the board, I know nothing.
I just throw my body all over the place
I can't dance, but I bo-staff like an ace.
I motivate the others, I like to tease,
I play so cool, I aim to please.
That's why you all got here on the double,
To catch me doin' the Swashbuckler's Shuffle!

I'm Valencian Birgus, one of a kind.
The others all love my for my body and my mind.
I'm slick on the floor as I can be,
But no Clockwork's gonna get past me.
Some guys are jealous of my style and such,
But if they fight me, they won't say much.
I didn't come here lookin' for trouble,
I just get down to the Swashbuckler's Shuffle!

They say Seamus is our man,
If he can't do it, I sure can!
This is Bonnie Anne, and it's no wonder
I run like the wind and shoot like thunder.
So bring on the Armada, I'll fight the crazies,
This is for Boochbeard and Captain Avery.
I'm not here for feathers to ruffle,
I just came here to do the Swashbuckler's Shuffle!

I'm El Toro (music), and I play it cool.
They don't sneak by me 'cause I'm no fool.
I fly on... boats and get on down,
Everybody knows I don't mess around.
I can whip 'em, trip 'em any time of day
The bane of tax collectors, I make them pay.
So please don't try to beat my hustle
'Cause I'm just here to do the Swashbuckler's Shuffle.

The Houngan's coming, I an' I be Scratch.
Me HooDoo magic knows no match.
I summon pirates from the dead,
This one attacks without his head.
We love to fight for the Spiral's best captain,
Excuse me rhythm, I an' I have no practice rappin'
But don't get ready or go to no trouble,
Unless you practice the Swashbuckler's Shuffle.

I'm Ratbeard here, and I'm Mr. Clean.
They call me "Traitor," dunno what they mean.
I can fight and I can run,
And I've betrayed almost no one!
The Crew watches me down to the bone,
But I'm trustworthy, if I'm in the zone
Come on everybody, let's scream and yell
We're gonna do the shuffle then ring a bell.

You're looking at Hawkules, I'm the rookie.
I may be large, but I'm no dumb cookie.
You've seen me hit, you've seen me run.
Son of Zeus, I have fun.
I can fight, you will see,
The others, they all learn from me.
I don't come here lookin' for trouble,
I just came to do the Swashbuckler's Shuffle!

Now, this is the story all about how
My life got flipped-turned upside down
And I'd like to take a minute
Just bind to a fountain
I'll tell you how I became the prince of a town
Called Skull Mountain

In West Albion, born and raised
At the embassy was where I spent most of my days
Chillin' out maxin' relaxin' all cool
And all practicing swordplay outside of school
When a couple of guys
Who were up to no good
Started making trouble in my neighborhood
I got in one little duel and Deacon got scared
He said "you're movin' to prison in Valencian air"

I begged and pleaded with him day after day
But he clapped me in irons and sent me on my way
He gave me a look and he gave my my ticket
Then Boochbeard came aboard and said "You might as well kick it"

Hey Avery, yo this is bad
Drinking Yum juice out of a champagne glass
is this what the people of Skull Mountain living like?
Hmm, this might be all right

But wait, I hear the Troggies, Cutthroats and all that
Is this the type of place that they should send this cool cat?
I don't think so
I'll see when I'm joustin'
I hope they're prepared for the prince of Skull Mountain

When the boat docked and when I came out
There was a dude who looked like a pirate standing with my name out
I'm not trying to get robbed yet
I just got here!
I sprang with quickness, like lightning disappeared

I whistled for a boat and when it came-fast
The sails said fresh and it had dice on the mast
If anything I can say is that this ship was uncommon
Then I thought 'Man, forget it'- 'Take me to Skull Mountain'

I docked up at Fin Dorsal's about seven or eight
And I yelled to the shark "Yo homes, smell you later"
I looked to my kingdom
And I left Fin's old dungeon
To sit as my throne as the Prince of Skull Mountain
Very well done. Wonderful story line. Really good.
We really have some wonderful poets in our message board family.

This is amazing You have captured their personalities so well. I am seeing them on stage strutting on and off as they rap. Really great stuff. Wow, I would really Love to see this one animated. That would truly be Epic.

Thank you, but the credit is most certainly not all mine. I just parodied the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air theme song! I always enjoy making shameless rip-offs of popular (old) songs, and Fresh Prince and the Super Bowl Shuffle just seemed to fit. In fact, the original Shuffle is even funnier, seeing William "Refrigerator" Perry dance and a punter with sunglasses play cowbell. But I digress. If anyone wants me to make any more Pirate 101 themed parodies, feel free to make suggestions. Seamus out

Try to guess the subject of the poem:
Armada mask.
Cool hat.
Do not ask.
His name's not Pat.

Not a beacon;
for the pirates anyways!

Still has a mask...
Cool Ranch...
Do not ask...
Name still not Pat!

Thank you. I tried my hardest to conjure up imagery of Subodai, in a linebacker's uniform, delivering "Samurai Mike" Singletary's speech as Birgus, Bonnie, Catbeard, and the others shuffled around awkwardly. It was all to hilarious not to write.

XD When I first saw that hat, my initial reaction was "Dang, that's big hat!" and frankly so far it's the only hat worn by the armada that I've seen that's worthy of mentioning in a poem.

Cool hat just gave it away. Loved the poem, Kai, and I look forward to reading more in the future.

The Ballad of the Chicken and the Armadillo
Being a poem in Free Verse

O Tyson
Why Tyson
Are you so heartless?
For Weeks I've tried
And received nothing.
My efforts fall by the wayside.
Have you no
Care?
Time after
Time after
Time after
Time I receive
A cheap tin badge
A necktie or two
Must I beat you up until you relinquish
What must by now be
Rightfully mine?
One armadillo is all I ask
Will ever ask
Of you.
But too many times
I have been denied.
I started to lose hope.
Then-
Suddenly-
A name appears
In my backpack!
Could it be...
Lord Bentley?
A scorpion.
This stings.
I thought we understood.
I must not give in.
You must give in.
The Armadillo must
Be mine.

Oh man, I can totally relate. I got my second one from the midnight bandit (deck fight). Although it did take 3 days of farming for something else to get it. I got two stingtails too so maybe you are on the right track.
