Bonnie Anne Poem:

The dogs cry out, the streets are filled with fear!
The city panics; "oh my, oh dear!"

One by one they march, to conquer and to rule
The dreaded armada, so fierce and so cruel!

Marleybone is dying, everything defenseless!
Who will come, to bring aid to the helpless?

Who can stop this madness, who will make them fall?
Who will bring gladness, and answer helps call?

And then she came, a gun being her friend
To make the evil armada, halt to an end!

One by one they fell, with electrical bullet shocks
Yes they fell, by the hands of a fox!

The isle of dogs was safe, and hope soon began
All thanks to a red fox... named Bonnie Anne!

You are quite a talented poet- Hobbitesque in delivery I might add. At least that is what feeling I get when I read your poems- kind of takes me to the shire, ready to begin a glorious adventure. Love the thread and I am glad you updated it because somehow I have missed out on it.

Excellent poems!

Before I start, I have searched the message boards to see if there is already a poem thread. If someone else has this idea, please dont strike me dead.

The first poem is about my crew, who sailed skies with me endless blue:

Sailing the endless skies, daring deeds await
Helping citizens cries, with Subodai my first mate.

Then there was Bonnie, she was number two
Along came Sarah Steele, a swash for my crew

Milo Gray tail came next, scurvy but loyal was he
For you see my pirate, had decided to let him free

Then I fought some bones, his name was Old Scratch
He was dead like Davy Jones, but he had met his match

Then came Ratbeard, he almost fell in fire
I rescued him then, for his siutation was dire

El Toro came next, honor was his code
His heroicness and bravery, would never ever erode.

Buffalo Bill joined the team, a gun was his friend
A part of the Mag 7, his legend will never end!

Then came the lord of apes, yes its the monkey king
I never really got why bananas wasn't his thing!

Gracie Conrad then joined, to fight an armada force
She hated them 100%, and showed no remorse.

Hawkules Hawkules, the greek hero of old,
Brave but clutzy, but ever so bold!

Together we are a team, and we can defeat King Kane
For our epicness and bravery our just PURE INSANE!

Well this is my poem, its about my crew, but feel to post anything... from old ideas to new!
'Moonlight's Guide'
A Valkoor Original Poem

Long have the winds blown, long has your light shown-
to guide a lost soul, to which yet is not known.
A ship left behind, that was destined to drown-
consumed by the darkness as the heavens gazed down.

No markers, no maps, nor light of day-
Guide me oh moonlight, please show me the way.

A clouded canvas, the stars it does hide-
a window in the haze, with your glow as my guide.
Set adrift at sea, both madness and I-
from yearning for fool's gold, now I echo my cry.

No light, no beacon, nor horn to my dismay
Guide me oh moonlight, please show me the way.

Lost in this vastness, with nowhere to go-
hauntingly watched by the depths down below.
Tossed about the tides, to the sea I now belong-
may your light shine and may you hear my song.

Through every tilt, every creak, every toss, every sway-
Guide me oh moonlight, please show me the way.

Call the winds, calm the seas, quiet the depths- for surely they mock-
please lead me safely to sand, to earth, to tree or to rock.
Guide me oh moonlight, to some friendly shore-
steer me from madness and harm, as I beg you once more.

I plead, I beseech, I wish and to you I pray-
Guide me oh moonlight, please show me the way.

Which is deeper, the water or the depths of my soul-
a question without answer, only hope left to hold.
Moonlight's gleam lay a path down before me-
take me to safety and once more hear my plea.

From harm, from danger, from peril and from the fray-
Guide me oh moonlight, please show me the way.

Taunted and teased by the whispers through the air-
voices that haunt me, from mouths that are not there.
I gaze upon you- my companion, my heavenly friend-
and deliver me a haven, I ask of thee again.

To shelter, to shore, to land and my home to stay-
Guide me oh moonlight, please show me the way.

I hear the waves crashing, then the cries of a gull-
the vessel left thrashing, as familiar soil greets the hull.
Feet touching sand, rock, earth and shade from a tree-
my pleas you have answered, your light guided me.

My land and my home and now new light of day-
You guided me oh moonlight, you showed me the way.

'Last Call'
An original pirate poem by Thunder.
~
By the winds of the spiral, I flew free.
I had not known, it wasn't meant to be.

Yet there I stood, at the ghost town gate.
Holding the hand that controlled my fate.

The first card I sought, a dangerous task.
Brought down on me by the men with the mask.

A prayer book torn, a new task born.
The first card retrieved, in the legend I believed.

The fallen mutineers, the first leg of the fight.
I fought the skeleton captain, in the dark western night.

The second card was mine, but it was not good.
I stood there tensely, staring in my hood.

The next card I aimed for, guarded by the Bosun of death.
I introduced him to the ground, without a single breath.

The fourth card was needed, a possession of life.
In exchange for his freedom this task was done, no necessary strife.

The final card was the easiest, or so I thought.
The dead law was against me, which then I fought.

The five cards gathered, the game could be done.
A deal with Death, the dread captain could not run.

But I had known this was my last call.
My last fight, my last test, oh, what a thrall.

In hand-to-hand combat, I fought Captain Blood alone.
In the town of Miranda, so I could die alone.......

Old Stormzilla was hopping around
Valley o' Titans like a big playground
When suddenly Ratbeard burst from the ground
And hit Stormzilla with five hundred pounds
Stormzilla got mad and began to strike
But didn't expect to be blocked by Dead Mike
Who started to open a can of Mike-fu
When Bonnie Anne came out of the blue
And she started shooting at Dead Mike's head
Then they both got flattened by Scratch the Dead
Before he could make it to HooDoo Cave
Captain Blood popped out of his grave
And took a big old cannon from out of his hat
He blew Scratch away with a rat-a-tat-tat
But he ran out of ammo and he ran away
Because Stupendor-X came to save the day!

This is the ultimate showdown of ultimate piracy
Good guys, bad guys, and explosions as far as the eye can see
And only one will survive-I wonder who it will be
This is the ultimate showdown of ultimate piracy

Stormzilla took a bite out of Captain Blood
Like the Jonah Town Whale took a bite out of a flood
Then Scratch came back covered in soot
But Sarah Steele jumped out and cut off his foot
And Ratbeard was injured and trying to get steady
When Hyssarik came back with a machete
But suddenly something caught is tail and he tripped
El Toro (music) took him out with his whip
Then he saw Stormzilla sneaking up from behind
And he reached for his sword which he couldn't find
'Cause Ratbeard stole it and he took a stab but missed
And Deacon deflected it with his fist
And he shot in the air but got stabbed by Fin
While Captain Blood tried to hide in
Stupendor-X but they fell to the ground
Then they both got hit with Ratbeard's 500 pounds

This is the ultimate showdown of ultimate piracy
Good guys, bad guys, and explosions as far as the eye can see
And only one will survive-I wonder who it will be
This is the ultimate showdown of ultimate piracy

Battle Angels sang out... his fearful name...
Down from the heavens... descended Kane.
Who delivered a kick... which could shatter bones...
Into the chest... of Bobby Bones
Who collapsed on the ground, screaming "NO!"
And Toro (music) changed into Don Rodrigo
But Kane saw through this clever disguise
And punted Toro clear out of the skies.
Then Mack the Shark and Marcus, too
And Monkey King and Mogatu
And Captain Steed and General Tso
And Jane Canary and Doctor Noh
Argos, Achilles, Gortez and Ulysses
Catbeard, Moo Manchu and Hawkules
Ninja Pigs, Sky Snakes and Captain Blood (again)
Bloodbats, Samocles, and all five Guardians
All came out of nowhere like you've never seen
And beat up old Kane till his face turned green
It was the most epic battle the Spiral ever saw
With Boochbeard and Gandry looking on in awe
The fight raged on for a century
Many lives were claimed but eventually
The champion was alone-the rest saw why
With a roar of victory stood Subodai!

That was particularly lovely, Valkoor. Reminded me of some of the trouvere poetry (Northern French poet/composers of the Middle Ages) that I really love.

Thank you Anne, I appreciate the compliments very much. I can say that I am not very familiar with trouvere poetry, but the mere fact that you are and that you associated my offering to styles of that era, and enjoyed my poem for that matter- truly speaks volumes to me. So, I thank you again for the encouraging compliments.

Wow, That was a lot of stuff going on. Tricky to keep track of but it was fun to see all of them jumping into the fray. I would love to see this one animated out.
