SPOILER ALERT. If you play w101 and do mind spoilers for Mushu, and Krysilis, don't read this. Now that that's done. I remember going to Xol Akmul (basically Azteca) and hearing the Aztecesaur telling of the "Queen of shadows destroying Azteca" (obviously Morganthe.) And thinking that was all well and good...but hang on. In Pirate101 when you get to Mushu, the "great sage" tells you about the emperor, and how a necromancer came looking for a key into a world of dragons and "When he refused him the Dragonspyre key the necromancer cursed him into a deep sleep in which he cannot wake...and which grips him still." But that's the first arc. How is it possible, that you go into something that is the result of the second arc, before the first? Don't forget, the sage said the deep sleep "grips him still" which means this is before the wizard defeats Malistaire and before Morganthe came to power. Did the winch travel through time as well as space? Just wanted to bring the topic up.

We don't know what morganthe was doing before Celestia, although, we do know that she was plotting and setting things up. Also, the Xibalba comet she summoned was foretold in many codex, for what we could assume were dated several centuries back. Azteca was also isolated from the rest of the spiral for a long, long time, considering that Monquista just rediscovered it, and the PC only learns about it from a very recent Marleybone expedition. With all of this put together, it is entirely plausible that Morganthe was setting up Xibalba and just wrecking havoc in general within Azteca for a while, probably before the Malistare arc even began. That being said, I don't think it's an consistency, but it is a bit confusing for those who aren't intensely versed in spiral lore.

Time anomaly, you are in another dimension. They went there through a portal "to escape the cataclysm to come." I'm sure that portal is going to come into play, sooner or later.

There are alot of things like these, since KI is determined to make connections between these two wherever possible. however. . . . What makes you so sure that the TIMELINES of these two games ARE SIMULTANEOUSLY occurring? yeah, they most likely overlap at some points, but who is to say just how long ago malistaire put The emperor to sleep? It could have been years and years, giving more than enough time for morganthe to do her thing.

This has already been addressed by Blind Mew:

"As I've said before, they occur at "roughly the same time." In the cases of MoShu and Marleybone, we seem to be running after Wizard by a small (but ill-defined) amount of time. Who knows? Maybe some day we'll catch up..."

Actually, my pirate heard that, then went to Mushu where "The great Sage" tells you how the necromancer JUST cursed the emperor. Also Mushu is still in chaos from that, and didn't the wizard already fix all the problems and cure the Emperor? Lastly the Sage says in his puppet show "And who sleeps still."

peace.

WOW. Those were some really good answers. Also whoops. I forgot I had already posted this subject. That's awkward. The one reason I bring this up is because to say the least. I. Love. TIME TRAVEL. Which is why I got excited when I got to go on quests for The Professor. Thanks for posting.

I believe there are two logical reasons for this:
1-Morganthe could have been attacking Azteca before W101 players defeat Malistare.
2-If a player watched that puppet show before the "Zadok's Cave" Quest that could be another way for that to work.
There could be more reasons for the inconsistency but I am not sure of them.

The first point I see. The second point however...you do realize, Zadok's cave is part of the main quest right?
